	The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force One of their projects is the Transgender Civil Rights Project. Their mission statement serves gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. They are a member organization, located in Washington, D.C. and they do a lot of grassroots advocacy.
	The National Center for Transgender Equality Advocates for transgender people and is again located in Washington.

	FTM (female-to-male) International
	Gender Education and Advocacy (GEA) GEA is a national organization focused on the needs, issues and concerns of gender variant people in human society.
	The Human Rights Campaign HRC has only recently included a commitment to transgender issues. For years, they refused to include transgender people in the proposed Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).
	Transgender Day of Remembrance This day commemorates the transgender people who have lost their lives as victims of hate violence. This event is celebrated in numerous cities across the world.
