| The George Washington University (GWU)
YES Center and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) are
pleased to invite your outreach staff to participate in the SPNS YMSM of Color
Outreach Workers Meeting. The meeting will be held from the evening of
Thursday, October 26th through Sunday, October 29th, 2006. Please complete and
submit the online registration form at www.YESCenter.org (click the “October
2006 Outreach Workers Meeting Registration” link on the home page) by September
29th for each staff member planning to attend the conference. |

Hotel Information |
The Serrano Hotel is located at 405 Taylor Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. The
hotel’s telephone number is 415-885-2500. A block of rooms is reserved for this
meeting at the rate of $140.00 plus 14% tax per night. Each grantee is
responsible for reserving rooms DIRECTLY with the hotel. The process is:

- Reference the “George Washington University
Meeting”
- Provide the dates of “October 26-29, 2006”

Request the number of rooms and provide a credit card for payment and
reservations.

General Information |
|
Costs for hotel rooms, air travel, ground transportation, and evening meals are
the responsibility of the participants. Please contact your HAB project officer
or your agency director if you have questions about allowable expenses.
Conference attendees will receive a packet of meeting materials. To minimize
the amount of materials participants must take home, however, the majority of
materials will be placed on the YES Center website for use and review. For
those participants desiring to venture out in SF, the concierge at the Serrano
is a great resource. The hotel lobby and each hotel room have information about
area attractions. Blaine Parrish, YES Center Program Manager, can also answer
questions about area attractions or activities. Blaine can be reached at:

Grantee Meeting Schedule |
| The outreach meeting will begin with a
Networking Session on Thursday evening from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at the
Serrano in the pre-function space outside the meeting rooms. Appetizers and
beverages will be served. Participants should make dinner plans following this
session. A restaurant list will be provided in your meeting packet. The
remainder of the sessions will be located in the hotel with lunch and breakout
sessions in the pre-function area. On Friday October 27th and Saturday October
28th, the meeting will begin at varying times. Please reference the agenda on
the YESCenter.org website. |

Food |
| On Thursday, October 26th, appetizers and
beverages will be provided at the Networking Session. Participants should plan
individually for dinner. On Friday, a continental breakfast, morning
refreshment, lunch, and afternoon break will be provided. On Saturday, lunch,
an afternoon break, and dinner will be provided. Dinners on Thursday and Friday
nights are the responsibility of each participant. A list of local restaurants
will be included in the registration packet. |

|
For travel planning, Daniel Ramos (daniel@downtownyouth.org;

information about area airport and transportation on the BART system. Blaine

can also assist with general questions.
Travel is the responsibility of the attendees.

Outreach |
| Participants in the meeting will be
attending several outreach venues in the Oakland/San Francisco Bay area. Please
meet with outreach staff and discuss the importance of using this time to
gather information about outreach and be prepared to share with the
organization lessons they learned about the venues. Actual outreach activities
will not take place. This outing is an opportunity to see other outreach venues
and social networking in action. |
